Soñando Satelites @ FILE festival
Soñando Satelites has been selected at FILE Festival for hypersonica section. During the festival I will present an Audio/video installation of that work. File festival will run from 15th june to 15th july at Sao Paulo, Brazil.
It was a great occasion for me to rethink to this work and add a visualization layer that this work was missing.
So, here we go, with the short version
This is a recording of a real time session. The system is composed by three parts:
Gpredict: is a realtime satellite tracker for GNU/linux. Thanks to David Pello‘s hacking it’s now possible to send out data from predict through OSC protocol.
Sound Composition: it’s a puredata’s patch that mix a soundscape generator made by Alberto Zin and a drone recorded composition made using DIN.
Visualization: it’s a puredata’s patch based on scopeXYZ~ object for GEM. The original patch on wich I besed to build mine come from Cerille Henry and puredata mailing list.
Audio was recorded by using oggwrite~ object from puredata. Video was recorded by using internal record function from gnome-shell. Final editing made using Kdenlive.
Here a large version for who really like the work.
